A little bit about me.

I have been walking in the Welsh mountains for about ten years. I was hooked from the very first day - it literally changed the course of my whole life.

Around Christmas 2015, and within the space of about a month, I lost my job, my grandad, who raised me like a son, and contact with my daughter. It could have went two ways but on a whim, I decided to move to Wales. I took a job at YHA Pen y Pass, and started to build a new life. It took a while o leave behind my old life - I'm still working on it now!

Shortly after moving, I passed my Mountain Leader certificate and started figuring out what I want to do with my life. I quickly found a passion for teaching other people how to look after themselves and have their own adventures in the mountains. I'm actually good at it, too. When I'm not teaching, I'll be guiding walks or helping other people out as a freelance.

I also contribute walking routes for Trail Magazine. I really love this aspect of my work and you  can read some of my favourite routes here, on the website.

In my spare time, I'll usually be out climbing or mucking about with my dog Gwen.

I am currently working towards becoming a Rock Climbing Instructor (RCI)

I have been a full member of the Mountain Training Association since 2016. I hold the summer Mountain Leader certificate, an REC outdoor first aid certificate and am fully insured to look after you in the mountains of Great Britain and Ireland.
